尊敬的校長們、老師們，親愛的家長們、同學(xué)們：

大家現(xiàn)在好！我是2024屆畢業(yè)生蔣盛源King的媽媽Merry，很欣喜也很榮幸能在這個重要的時刻作為畢業(yè)生家長代表。

今天我和大家分享的主題是----選擇,遇見與成長。

因為一次正確的選擇讓我和我家的King生活在屬于自己的幸福的時區(qū)里，一切都準(zhǔn)時在命運里有所安排，遇見瑞得福讓我們實現(xiàn)了自己的夢想，拿到了十多個Offer，申請到了自己心儀的大學(xué)專業(yè)。

我本來是一位中學(xué)英語老師，一直對兒子有著更高的期待和要求。在2018年小升初的關(guān)鍵階段，我陪著King輾轉(zhuǎn)于各種國際化學(xué)校的入學(xué)考試以及面試之中。最后，我們選擇了離家最近的一所雙語學(xué)校的國際部。

當(dāng)交完學(xué)費我以為這一切將塵埃落定的時候，意外卻接連不斷。選擇的學(xué)校一再延遲開學(xué)，而在開學(xué)后，我卻意外得知國際部搬遷了，新校園裝修還未完工。新學(xué)校的課程安排、師資配置、教材版本，以及校園文化，都讓我和King產(chǎn)生了巨大的心理落差，在King入學(xué)3天后，我和他商量后毅然決然地選擇退學(xué)，重新踏上擇校之旅。

重新出發(fā)需要很大的勇氣，但到現(xiàn)在我和King也沒有后悔做這個決定。

9月份之后，國際學(xué)校大多已經(jīng)進(jìn)入了各自的滾動招生期，我們從最初掌握主動權(quán)的一方，變成被動選擇的一方。但是我一點沒有放棄的想法，King也對轉(zhuǎn)學(xué)國際學(xué)校態(tài)度堅定。

我們每天都在深入咨詢不同的渠道，查閱各種國際學(xué)校官網(wǎng)，這個過程簡直讓人焦頭爛額，所幸的是瑞得福學(xué)校走進(jìn)了我們的視線。

緊鑼密鼓的開始聯(lián)系學(xué)校的招生老師，報名入學(xué)考試。那時候瑞得福已經(jīng)開學(xué)一個月了，雖然歷盡波折，但King的發(fā)揮還算穩(wěn)健，順利通過了瑞得福的入學(xué)考試并拿到錄取通知書。

我依稀記得2018年9月18號那天，我和king 走進(jìn)瑞得福校園，全新的環(huán)境和學(xué)習(xí)氣氛讓我們覺得莫名心安?？粗良缍^的外教老師，懷抱教材前往教室的學(xué)生，他們那自信洋溢的笑容，從容灑脫的談吐，讓我和King心醉神迷。

裝滿美術(shù)作品、實驗報告，以及活動照片的展示板，內(nèi)容毫不掩飾的肆意大膽，盡顯風(fēng)采。鮮明多元的校園文化，對于一個老師身臨其境的第一次體驗到了“世界就在腳下，有趣的人就在身邊”的奇妙感覺，好想和King一起來上學(xué)呀！

那時候，我和King站在瑞得福的HONOR ROLL學(xué)術(shù)光榮榜下，上面閃亮而自信的面孔和傲人的成績，牢牢抓住了我們的目光。King仰望著優(yōu)秀的他們，對我說：“媽??！以后每學(xué)期都要上榜，我要一直在這面墻上?！盞ing給我許下的諾言真的就實現(xiàn)了。（此刻是不是該有掌聲呢？）

說實話，King作為晚來一個月的插班生，我很擔(dān)心他，因為一直都是生活在我的身邊的，從來沒有離開過家，剛來到瑞得福的第一周我就住在校門口的酒店，不敢回家，擔(dān)心他不適應(yīng)。等待周五的日子就像過了一年一樣漫長，結(jié)果周末接到他的時候他說“洪媽媽”（班主任）對他很好，讓他感受到了家的溫暖，這下我一直懸著的心終于放下了。

回家的路上，King和我分享學(xué)校的各種趣事, 對于King喜歡吃西餐的人來說，太完美了，學(xué)校兼有中、西餐廳，校長、老師和學(xué)生們?nèi)粘Ｗ谝黄鹩貌停麄兒敛涣邌菡宫F(xiàn)生活中和藹可親的一面，在他們身上，King看到大人的無畏，感受到了閱歷豐富的長者們?yōu)槿颂幨碌膹娜蓣攘ΑＴ趯W(xué)校，他們是師長，是引路人，也是家人一樣的存在

我和King很喜歡這里自由選課的教學(xué)方式，比如他的數(shù)學(xué)比較好，可以直接跳級選擇代數(shù)二。瑞得福每個外教老師上課都很幽默風(fēng)趣，我依然清晰記得King上科學(xué)課學(xué)習(xí)牛頓第三定侓，老師組織同學(xué)們?nèi)ゲ賵鲎鲈囼灒€拍了視頻和照片發(fā)到班級群的，我看到后分享給我的學(xué)生們看，他們投來羨慕的眼神。

六年里我跟著King一起成長進(jìn)步了許多，讓我學(xué)會了更多和我的學(xué)生們的相處之道。King經(jīng)常跟我說---我們?nèi)鸬酶５睦蠋焸儾话闯＠沓雠?，?chuàng)新的課題形式讓King覺得很有意思，老師們把在異國他鄉(xiāng)成就的才能，在一個陌生的國度毫無保留地傳授。這種多元的文化碰撞，讓King跳出了認(rèn)知的局限，真切地走向世界。

正是因為不設(shè)限的教學(xué)風(fēng)格，老師們的不定義欣賞。讓我家的King可以大膽地在課堂和同學(xué)們討論發(fā)言。King開始越發(fā)展露自己自信的一面，各種社團喜歡的不得了，和學(xué)長們在籃球場上一決高下，喜歡在電音社制作音樂，課余時間還兼顧做圖書管理員，參加各種義工活動，學(xué)校的健身房成了他常去的場所。還創(chuàng)辦了《食堂提升社》并擔(dān)任創(chuàng)社社長，這一切，讓King變得越來越有責(zé)任感。

如今站在學(xué)校的HIGH HONOR ROLL榮譽榜前，King的承諾做到了，我為擁有這樣的他感到自豪！在瑞得福的六年里，我發(fā)現(xiàn)他逐步學(xué)會規(guī)劃自己的未來，為自己的目標(biāo)努力奮斗。我可以自信的說，從沒有讓我為他的作業(yè)而煩惱過，瑞得?！都彝タ茖W(xué)》和《AP心理學(xué)》的課程讓King更懂得如何與家人融洽相處，從以前的羞澀扭捏，到現(xiàn)在直接向我吐露心聲。在這個過程中，我們都懂得了珍惜生活中的每一份美好！特別是疫情網(wǎng)課的時候，我給我的學(xué)生們上課的時候，他給我做的那碗面條，那個味道，是我這一輩子吃過的最好吃的面！

細(xì)數(shù)這幾年成長的點點滴滴，很慶幸King和我在自己的時區(qū)里，抬頭遇見了瑞得福學(xué)校這顆啟明星，照亮我和King的前行。讓我相信了一切皆是最好的安排。這個美麗的遇見讓King更自信，更自律，更有責(zé)任感，成就了最好的他。在以后沒有遮攔的天空下，有驕傲的豐滿羽翼，讓他有充足的勇氣面對以后人生的任何挑戰(zhàn)，踏上新的征途。

今年九月份，King就要奔赴夢想中的大學(xué)，去實現(xiàn)更大的理想，祝福他以夢為馬，不負(fù)韶華，不斷夯實自己的專業(yè)知識和素養(yǎng)，將來為社會、為人類做出應(yīng)有的貢獻(xiàn)！

感謝瑞得福所有的老師們給King的幫助和教導(dǎo)！感謝瑞得福這個開放多元的平臺給了孩子充分成長和鍛煉的機會！

Dear Principals, Teachers, Parents, and Students,

Hello, everyone! I am Merry, the mother of Jiang Shengyuan King, a graduate of 2024. I am delighted and honored to represent the parents of the graduates at this significant moment.

Today, I am sharing a theme: Choice, Encounter, and Growth.

A right choice led my son and me to live in our own happy time, and everything was arranged by fate. We encountered RDF, which helped us realize our dream, receive numerous offers, and apply for our favorite university major.

I used to be a middle school English teacher in the traditional school system, so I have always had high expectations and requirements for my son. At the critical stage of junior high school in 2018, I accompanied King to the entrance examinations and interviews of various international schools. Finally, we chose the international department of the bilingual school closest to our home.

When I paid the tuition, I thought everything would be settled, but unfortunately, the accidents continued. The opening of the chosen school was delayed repeatedly, and after it opened, I was surprised to learn that the International Department had been relocated and the decoration of the new campus had not been completed. The curriculum arrangement of the new school, the allocation of teachers, textbooks, and the campus culture all created a huge psychological gap between King and me. After three days in the school, King and I decided to drop out and started the journey of choosing another school again.

It takes a lot of courage to start again, but until now, King and I have not regretted making this big decision.

After September, most international schools have entered their own rolling enrollment period, and we have changed from being proactive to being passive. But I didn’t give up at all, and King was determined to transfer to an international school.

Every day, we consulted through different channels and checked the official websites of various international schools. This process was very worrying. Fortunately, RDF International School came into our sight.

I began to contact the school’s admissions consultant to register for the entrance exam. At that time, the school had been starting for a month. Despite all the twists and turns, King performed quite steadily, passed the examination successfully, and received the admission letters.

I vaguely remember that on September 18th, 2018, King and I walked into the RDF campus. The new environment and learning atmosphere made us feel strangely at ease. Looking at the expat teachers, the students holding the textbook to the classroom, their confident smiles, calm and easy talks, fascinated King and me.

Full of artworks, experimental reports, and activity photos on the display board, the content is undisguised, wanton, bold, showing the style. The bright and diverse campus culture, for a system of teachers in the first experience “the world is at the foot, interesting people are around.” The wonderful feeling that it really made me want to go to RDF school with King!

At that time, King and I stood in front of the HONOR ROLL academic honor roll, with shining and confident faces and proud achievements, which firmly caught our eyes. King looked up to the excellent students and said to me, “Mom!! I’m going to be on the list every semester, and I’m going to be on this Honor Wall.” King’s promise to me was really fulfilled. (I think there is some applause right now?)

To tell you the truth, King, as a transfer student coming a month late, I was very worried about him because he has always lived around me and has never left home. In the first week when I came to RDF, I stayed in the hotel near the school, and I dared not go home, worried that he would not adapt. Waiting for Friday felt like a year. As a result, when I picked him up on the weekend, he said “Hong Mum” was very kind to him, let him feel the warmth of home. When I heard it, I was relieved.

On the way home, King and I shared all kinds of fun. For King, who likes to eat western food, it is so perfect. RDF school has western restaurants, principals, teachers, and students sit together for dinner daily, they are not stingy to show their amiable side in life, on them, King sees adults fearless, feels the experienced elders’ calm charm. At school, they are teachers, guides, and family members.

King and I like the teaching method of choosing courses at RDF. For example, his math is great, and we can choose algebra 2 directly. Every foreign teacher in RDF was very humorous in class. I still remember the class that King had Newton’s third law of physics that physics teacher organized the students to go to the playground to do experiments, and Miss Hong took videos and photos which she sent to the class group and shared them with students’ parents. When I showed the video to my public school students, all the students expressed envy.

In the past six years, I have grown and improved a lot with King, learning more ways to get along with my students. King often told me our teachers do not follow the common sense, innovative project form makes King feel very interesting, teachers teach the talents in a foreign country in a strange country without reservation. This collision of diverse cultures makes King jump out of the limitations of cognition and truly go to the world.

It is precisely because of the unlimited style of teaching, the teachers do not define the appreciation. Let King can boldly discuss with the students in class. King began to develop more and more confident. He likes all kinds of clubs, such as the electronic music club, rugby club, volleyball club, fitness club. If you go to RDF fitness club, you must find King there at 5 pm. He competed with seniors on the basketball court. At the same time, he is keen on volunteering, he is not only a librarian he also founded the canteen Promotion Club and served as the president of the innovation club, which made King become more and more responsible.

Now standing in front of the HIGH HONOR ROLL honor list, King’s promise is fulfilled, I am proud of him! During his six years in RDF, I found that he gradually learned to plan his future and work hard for his goals. I can confidently say that he never bothered me about his homework. The courses of “Family Science” and “AP Psychology” made King know how to get along well with his family, from shy and shy to now speak directly to me about his opinion. In this process, we all know how to cherish every beauty in life! Especially in the epidemic online class, when I was having class, he made a bowl of noodles for me. The taste is the most delicious noodles I have ever eaten in my life!

Considering the details of King’s growth in recent years, I am glad that King and I met the star of RDF International School in our time zone, illuminating the progress of King and me. Made me believe that everything is the best arrangement. This beautiful encounter made King more confident, more disciplined, more responsible, and made the best of him. In the future, under the sky that is not blocked, there are proud full of wings, so that he has enough courage to face any challenges in his life in the future, and embark on a new journey.

In September this year, King will go to his dream university to realize greater ambitions. Wish him taking dreams as horses does not lose youth, constantly consolidate his professional knowledge and accomplishment, and make due contributions to the society and human beings in the future!
